Hello mam, please be patient. See filling is done first if cavity does not invade pulp and rct i'd done when caries involved pulp. Sometimes indirect pulp capping is also done I suggest you to go for filling first which would be clarified by x ray also. You need to visit your dentist and get a x ray done to see the extent of the decay, if it is superficial then filling can be done, if it's deep then root canal treatment followed by crown (cap) placement.
