Then he said you can stop so I want to know will my final tapering would be successful will I get any withdrawal as I read that etizest is habit forming it will have withdrawal. Please give me a right information regarding this (need answers only by physiatrist)

Dear Priya, You have to taper these tablets. Not that all who stop these tablets will get withdrawal. Etizest for 10 days will not be habit forming. Only if you take for a longer time and you go on increasing the dose on your own, it is habit forming.

If your serotonergic balance (transmission) in your mind (brain) is normal during tapering no relapse of symptom would occur, else there might be a relapse and you have to continue. Gradually reducing the medicine will not have withdrawal. Good luck.
