Reading is a good habit, but somewhere I read that due to filling up of our mind with lots of things due to internet these days, we are not able to store new info and become forgetful. Is it true?

Dear lybrate-user, thanks for posting your question. Yes, it is true to a great extent that watching or reading too much over the internet affects our mental capacity to grasp things we want to. Also, reserches also tell us that we have good retention with books than internet reading. So keep reading the books and spend less time over the net.
