My wife is taking treatment for autoimmune hepatitis. Continuing with azoran 50 mg. Onc� in a day. She suffers bleeding from the teeth every now and then especially during brushing. Her tongue is slightly in blue colour. What is the reason for it and the treatment to be taken.

As your wife is taking a kind of immuno suppressant drug, you should be aware of her blood cell count. Regarding bleeding during brushing indicates that she might have poor oral hygiene. Maintain the oral hygiene with proper brushing, flossing and use some medicated mouthrinses. She may need an oral prophylaxis session. Visit your dentist for proper clinical evaluation. Thanks.
