Hello lybrate-user ji. Yes many children these days are facing this problem of late shedding of their milk teeth. Somewhere we are also a part of this problem. Children these days generally are fond of eating soft foods and we also as a parents give them food in a chopped manner due to their worry. Because of this the resorption forces which are required for the milk tooth to shed by its own is not adequate and hence the milk teeth are not shed at time. But nothing to worry because as you told he is 7 it's not much delay. But yes from today onward kindly give him harder foods like carrot to eat from front teeth then apple you can give, guava too. And if possible kindly take a iopa xray of that region so that we came to know how much root is resorbed now. If any further query kindly msg me and send me the iopa radiograph.
