Is the diagnosis confirmed? If so, the following measures should help. Fungal infections are frequent in parts of the body which are exposed a great deal of sweat, remain frequently moist. These areas therefore has to be kept clean and dry. You can use antifungal creams containing clotrimazole or miconazole. These include Candid, Daktarin gel, etc. These should preferably not contain any steroids. Therefore, don't use ointments like Candid-B. The creams should be used twice a day for atleast 1 month. If the fungal infection is persistent, you can use antifungal tablets at the same time.
