Hello lybrate-user the pain your mother is experiencing seems to be unrelated to her parkinson's and syndopa. More information is needed to ascertain the cause: 1. When did she attain menopause? 2. Does she have low back pain? 3. Does she have pain in fingers and toes? 4. Does she experience tingling in hands and feet? 5. Does she have any other medical illnesses and if she is taking any treatment apart from levodopa? 6. Have she had any recent trauma or fall and is she able to walk on her own? If you could provide the desired information, we could do a few tests gto ascertain the nature of her problem and start treatment. In the mean time I can only say that ice and local gels will not be of much use if she hasn't had any recent trauma. The actual cause needs to be identified and treated.
