Hi, I am having burning sensation in the urethra. I had kidney stone couple of months back which has come out on it's own. I've done some tests again today and in the report today, it is showing that pus cell are occasional/hpf, rbc is occasional/hpf, epithelial cells are 5-6/hpf, casts is absent, crystals are absent, bacteria is absent, mch is 32.18 pg, neutrophil is 77%, lymphocyte is 15%, platelet count is 165000/cu-mm, mean platelet volume is 13.4 fl. I just wanted to check if everything's fine and why the burning sensation in urethra. I have taken two weeks of niftas, cital syrup and veltam f per urologists recommendation. It is much better now but the burning sensation is still there a little. Not how it used to be. Do advice.

Hi Lybrate user. It may be due to resistance of medicine of niftas in your case. Repeat culture and sensitivity of urine should be done for adding new antibiotic. It also may be that you are thinking so much about it and you are feeling the same i.e somatoform disorder. Thank you.
