Lybrate-user, you'll need some blood tests to diagnose the cause of the urticaria. In the meanwhile, stop all incriminating food items, like spicy, chilly, oily food, nonveg, eggs, dryfruits, chocolates, outside packed foods. Get well soon. God bless you.

Chronic urticaria is one of the most difficult conditions to treat. Basically a good dermatologist will prescribe some tests to rule out any internal causes for urticaria. If any of these tests (eg: thyroid, allergy), show any abnormalities, correcting the abnormalites will help to reduce the urticaria. If all tests are normal, then some medicines (you are alreading taking allegra) will help to reduce the symptoms - symptomatic treatment. You could take an online consultation in Lybrate with me for personalized guidance and consultation.

The good news is that your urticaria is responding to allegra. You just need to stay under guidance of dermatologist to reduce allegra slowly based on your response. The problem is that your are stopping allegra prematurely.
