I am 26 years of age and I was exposed to hiv positive patient through unprotected sex so I realised and I went to clinician within the same hour and I was tested for hiv which I was negative so I was prescribed pep regimen of lamivudine/zidovudine with lopinavir/ritonavir so I took this combination for 3 weeks but I was having severe side effects and the regimen was changed for me into tenofovir disoproxil fumarate/lamivudine/efavirenz which am currently taking so I want to be sure whether pep will still work effective as the regimen has been changed.
