My mother is 75 years and has been diagnosed with polycystic kidneys. Yesterday the doctor prescribed her nicardia xl 30 (@ 2 times/ day) to replace some others. This is to control her blood pressure. Grateful for your advise. Thanks manish.

Nicardia xl is one of the good drugs for bp control. She is already on 3 bp medications. Bp control has a very important role in delaying the progress of the kidney disease. The only issue is nicardia xl is usually prescribed once a day dosage and needs careful bp monitoring if high doses are given.
