I am 63 year old. Wearing glasses since 1975 for distance vision with glasses of - 0,75 and added +2,5 for near vision 4-5 year ago. For last couple of months I was feeling vision problem for both vision. Got checked up last week and doctors indicated some cataract in both eyes as well as malculophathy and erm in right eye. He also said that there is no treatment for malculopathy and erm. Request to advise and provide way out.

You may use corrective contact lenses to avoid wearing glasses for now. A lasik refractive corrective surgery may also help. If you are really motivated to get rid of your glasses then you may need a consultation for this and a surgery can be recommended after your spectacle power has stabilised for a period of at least one year.
