I am diabetic from last 3 years ,currently using medicine piozer g30/2 od before breakfast ,my fasting glucose level was 138 and random. Was 171 with this medication bp ranges mostly 116/76 .i am obese and 58 years old, I am feeling pain on my chest from last month I went for ecg Dr. after seeing ecg report prescribed me anti anxiety for one week after that I recovered but the same symptoms appeared after one month chest pain and it left arm pain .what should I do ?should I take aspirin for heart .as one month before I was advised to take atenolol and aspirin my bp shouted at that time but it is now in 116/76 range from. Last month .kindly guide me.

Hello Lybrate-user, 1 st of all you please don't worry, your condition is not that bad. Everything will be alright. If a person has chest pain the first thing he or she may think of is heart attack. Certainly chest pain is not something to ignore. But you should know that it has many possible causes. In fact, many a times people experiences chest pain that is not related to the heart. Chest pain may also be caused by problems in your lungs, esophagus, muscles, ribs, or nerves, for example. Some of these conditions are serious and life threatening. Others are not. If you have unexplained chest pain, the only way to confirm its cause is to have a doctor evaluate you. Not all chest pains are heart related.in fact diabetic people are more prone to get silent heart attack! according to me you your blood glucose is not under control. You are 58 and do not have any comorbidities so I would suggest you please try to keep your blood glucose within normal range. So better you consult your treating physician or diabetologist again and get yourself evaluted. If still you are worried about your heart problem then you can also take a consultation from a cardiologist there is nothing harm in taking opinion from a qualified doctors. This is for your own health benefit.
