Dear Lybrate user, betnovate is a steroid cream which has many side effects when applied to the face, especially for more than 6 weeks and you have applied for 5 years. It is not a skin lightening cream, one of its side effects is depigmentation but other side effects are hair growth, thinning of skin and small blood vessels become bigger and visible. Please consult a dermatologist near you. Apply a good sunscreen daily from now on in the morning and reapply every 3 hourly. Some of the hair will reduce automatically, for the remaining, you will need to take some medicines or apply some creams depending on your blood reports; finally laser may be needed to remove the unwanted hairs. But it will be step by step process.
