In a 8 years old child, the last chewing tooth in the mouth would ideally be a permanent tooth while the two chewing teeth before that is milk tooth. Hello, at the age of 8 there are milk as well as permanent both teeth are present, as you mentioned side tooth they could be milky teeth as well as permanent for chewing. So whatever tooth is there they have to be maintained because they fall off at certain age around 10 to 12 years and replaced naturally by permanent teeth. Hello, even if the tooth is a milk tooth it require treatment because permanent tooth follow the path of milk teeth for there eruption. So if its not the correct age for that milk tooth to go it should be maintained. And if its mobile it need to be removed. But this is a general information.
