The free fluid in pod is not semen and is the normal secretion or fluid in the pouch of douglas. Minimal fluid in the pod can be due to multiple causes like menstruation, ovulation, blood or any infection. It has to be interpreted after correlating with your symptoms and the menstrual cycle. It is insignificant in most cases when found during routine scan when everything else is norma.
