My wife is pregnant and she is suffering from hypothyroidism. During 2nd trimester beginning, her tsh was 4.5mgdl and by end of 2nd trimester it increased to 7.5mgdl. She took 25 mg of thyroid supplement until but now increased to 75 mg as per doctor advise. Does this cause any negative impact on the baby's brain development or iq levels? She is carrying at 30 weeks now. At 27 weeks, her tsh was 7.5mgdl and started taking 75 mcg of lthroxin we are really worried. Kindly suggest.
