My father is about 78 years old and taking wysolone 20 mg in afternoon after lunch & 10 mg after dinner. insulin dose instavet 50/500 in morning insulin 30 units before refreshment instavet 50/500 before lunch insulin 30 units before dinner bur sugar is out of control. Approx 400-500 pls suggest.

Mr Vijay, Thanks for the query. Please tell me why is he using Wysolone regularly? Because that is a corticosteroid, which has a diabetogenic effect, meaning glucose levels will not be in control. If there is an absolute need for wysolone, then requirement of Insulin will go up by quite a few units per dose. Unless I know why wysolone is being used there is no way to give any opinion. Thanks.
