A root canal treatment of the tooth may be done. Consult the doctor again and ask if the tooth can be saved with a root canal treatment.

Mr. lybrate-user, you can meet a root canal specialist and get the root canal treatment done for your cavity problem. But it is generally not advised to save the wisdom teeth if there is no opposing tooth present, or if they are not in contact with each other or if your tooth is submerged in the bone partially or completely.
