My daughter 3 years 2 month have fever since saturday. Fever won't come down after putting dolo 250 mg 4 ml, every 4 hr. So started to put ibugesic syrup put 3 dose, stil every 3 hr I daughter have fever. Am giving cold pad. No other symptoms rather den fever. please advice wat to give.

Hello Lybrate-user, Do you know what ibugesic do? It just reduce the body temperature for few hours. Fever is actually your body's defense mechanism's sign to tell you that there is a foreign body in the system. And you are trying hide it. Until you will not take proper treatment to remove the cause the fever will keep coming. Otherwise after some days if the infection is not strong the body itself will cure it. Also ibugesic damages the kidney and giving it too often without knowing it, you are harming your baby. Better consult and take proper treatment according to the doctor's advise.
