You need a thorough evaluation for increased pulse rate or palpitations. Increased pulse can be caused by disorders of heart rhythm. So there are normal types of rhythm which can result in increased pulse called as sinus tachycardia medically. Or there can be abnormal rhythm causing your increased pulse rates called as arrhythmias medically. A detailed evaluation including ecg, 2d echo, certain blood tests will help to determine the exact nature and cause of your increased pulse rate. You need to visit a cardiac electrophysiologist who are the experts in disorders of the rhythm of heart. Once we find out the nature and cause of your problem only then can a comment on the medication be made. I hope you understand.
