Hi, I am a bipolar mood disorder patient since 2004. It happened after I lost my dad to cancer and ill behaviour by my younger brother. Presently I am married since last six years and on trinicalm plus 5 mg 0-0-2 and qutipin 50 mg 0-0-1.Presently we are trying for a baby and I do not want a new life to be affected because of my illness. Presently I am a housewife. Kindly suggest if planning a baby is safe. My present psychiatrist says only dicorate pill affects the baby and I am out of dicorate tablet since past two months.

The medication currently you are on are usually considered safe during pregnancy. Yes, dicorate is not safe which you already stopped. Be in touch with your treating psychiatrist if you plan for pregnancy. All the best.
