Hi, in twin pregnancy, there is high chance of going into labour early. That means any time after 7 months you might get pains or water can break. Now you are just 5 months pregnant and scan showing short cervix. Means chance of going into labour early is doubled. Because when cervix is shortened. Pregnancy duration is also reduced. That is why your doctor has advised bed rest and admission. With bed rest early labour will be reduced to some extent. And complications like water in twin is less and other twin more. These will cause the weight of the baby being less.
