I'm 24 years old and I am a self-learned singer. I sing Country, Hard Rock, Metal (Screams and Growls). I am concerned about my throat. It's pretty intimidating because practising wrongly can inculcate bad habits of singing from your throat that can be harmful for our Vocal cords. Where can I find a professional and experienced Doctor. Who can guide me to take care of my throat for singing such of vocals? Also is there a need to go for a throat check-up frequently in order to ensure that you don't develop any nodules or polyps? If Yes, Where?

Polyps appear on either one or both of the vocal cords. They appear as a swelling or bump (like a nodule), a stalk-like growth, or a blister-like lesion. ... The best way to think about the difference between nodules and polyps is to think of a nodule as a callous and a polyp as a blister.
