Question for a dermatologist: My wife (41 yrs) has seen a sudden onset of bald patches on her head. There are 3 patches and they are increasing in size. Results of skin biopsy from the bald patch points to late stage scarring alopecia. I have 2 questions: a) what options are available to prevent further spread of the patches? b) what can be done to regrow hair on the bald patches Please provide references of someone who specializes in this area and any other input to guide us in managing this disease
