Hi, I'm pratik, 19 years old college dropout, and having no direction in life. Feeling depressed throughout the day and anxiety. Because of that I can't concentrate on my work I want to do. I often daily look for motivational and teenage based movies to get the illusion of happiness.(I spell Y in happiness instead of i) and always feel like I can't do anything that will make me happy, a little proud, I've also given a thought to going for a counselor. But I don't have resources. So, what to do?

Hello lybrate-user, I can understand you are going through a bad phase right now, but always remember its not the end. Its not the situation that is bad rather its us who make the situation even worse for ourselves to handle by feeding ourselves with negative thoughts. First of all look what makes you happy, music, reading, painting anything- just do what you love. Eat a nourishing healthy diet, it does play a very important role in maintaining overall health. Do things for yourself. Know your potential and recognize your qualities and don't, just don't let yourself down. Just be positive and fix a goal for yourself write down what you want to do for a better life and what you need to do to achieve that goal. Start working towards it. It would give you motivation as well and you would know what you have to do. Just begin, at least, just board on the positive journey. And just be positive try to look at the brighter side of everything. And Know how you are making everything worse for yourself by putting yourself into depression. Is it doing any good to you? Ask yourself questions like this and then you will yourself find the answer; once you find your answer look what you can do instead to fix it and turn it over that can lead to happiness and a better life. Just try to make things less complicated. Count all the good things you are blessed with in life, there may be things that you have but Many may not have. Look there are so many things around us that carry a reason to smile its just us who don't notice. Lastly, I want you to always remember that happiness is a choice, its you who has to choose whether you want to be happy or sad. Choice is all yours. Its all about your thoughts, you can lead them to whatever direction you want. Your thoughts can do wonders and at the same time they can destroy everything for you.
