Hi there, I frequently get UTI's and I've been taking Cipro 500 mg for 7 days every 12 hours for treatment. Right now I have another UTI which isn't as severe as my other ones and I'm taking Cipro 250 mg for 7 days to treat it. I do not have the opportunity to get a urine culture. My question is, is it bad to use the same type of antibiotics every time I get a UTI, should a doctor be switching the treatment up every time? Also are the dosages I'm taking okay for what the severity of my UTI is? Thank you very much.
