If your body doesn't have enough iron, it cannot produce enough healthy oxygen-carrying red blood cells. Iron deficiency can cause anemia. Include these foods in your diet : meat, such as lamb, pork, chicken , beans, including soybeans. pumpkin and squash seeds. leafy greens, such as spinach. raisins and other dried fruit. tofu. eggs. seafood, such as clams, sardines, shrimp, and oysters.
