Good afternoon! I have been diagnosed with unilocular right ovarian cyst measuring 4.8 cm�4.0 cm. Symptoms associated are lower abdominal pain, lower back pain at right side and at the end of the backbone, right pelvis numbness which comes and goes, nausea, indigestion, fully feeling stomach, constipation. Is the size of the cyst big or medium? Is it need surgical removal? I have pcod too. I have dysmenorrhea and menorrhagia since my menarche. Please tell me the details? Thank you!

Generally any simple cyst less than 6 cm should resolve with oral contraceptive pills. If the cyst persists in spiite of medical treatment, it needs surgical removal.
