I started suffering from stomach pain due to acid in my stomach on my way back from shimla to chandigarh. I was pretty sure that I require omeprazole. However there was no chemist nearby in mountains and I kept bearing severe pain for 1 hour. I wanted to call ambulance if they could deliver me a ppi medication. But my friends laughed at me. I took 1 tab 20 mg ppi eventually after 1 hour and it gave me relief and neutralized acid when at home. I am having anxiety that did I cause any long term damage to my stomach lining due to not taking ppi right away?
