Hello, Doctor I received the complete vaccination 2 months back on day 0,3,7,14 and 28 after a bite by an already vaccinated dog and the dog is completely healthy after a month. But recently when I was feeding a stray (not vaccinated) dog I touched the bowl he was eating from and he also licked me. I would like to know whether I am safe from rabies and for how long I am immune after receiving all the Post exposure vaccinations. Thank you.

1. If the lick was over intact skin, it's never an issue. Also touching the bowl is not a problem. 2. The duration of effectiveness of the vaccine is variable but averages from 2-10 years. So in case of repeat bite or exposure we recommend 2 doses on day 0 and day 3 as booster.
