My husband is diagnosed pleural effusion TB .Two times pleural fluid is taken out. 1st time 1.5 litre water and 2nd time 700 ml water was removed. Then he has been taking ATS 9 medicine since 12 days. But his chest pain is not decreased. It is as before starting medicine. He is continuing his tb medicine. Dr. has given chest pain medicine which is completed. My question is after how many days his chest pain will stop. Please help.

Chest pain will subside gradually, need to do deep breathing exercises, and it take 4 to 6 week for fluid to dry up after TB medicine start.in some may take longer duration.
