I am a 58 years male. Since last 2 months I have developed ulcers on the tongue. Physician prescribed vitamin BVON capsules, and ZYTEE gel for local application. The ulcer healed, but more are coming up on the tongue. It pains a lot and feeling of sourness/ roughness on one side of the tongue further, similar ulcers came up on inner gums in the mouth. I consulted a dentist. I was diagnosed lichen planus. I was prescribed CLOBETASOL OINTMENT for local application. Overnight it slightly reduces, but during the day, the ulcers start irritating due sense of dryness and sourness. When consulted the dentist, he told might be it would require biopsy can someone suggest alternate medication even on a trial basis. Thanks a lot.
