Hi Sir, I am 24 years old pregnant with 8 weeks, I was prescribed folic acid 5 mg tablets twice a day. I took it twice daily for about a month. But I google about folic acid and it showed doses more than 1 mg a day makes baby prone to autism. Is this 5 mg tablet twice is really overdose? Will this cause autism.

Folic acid has no such side- effects if you are personally facing this problem it would be best to get your dose adjusted with your gynaecologist.
