Hi Doctor, Heard from a friend that eating raw Garlic in empty stomach is good for stomach and to reduce weight. Found some side effects like possibility of bleeding and stomach issues as side effects of the same. Please advice whether it is good to eat raw garlic. Thanks.

Garlic is used for many conditions related to the heart and blood system.While garlic has a number of potential health benefits, too much garlic can interfere with blood clotting . It is recommended 2 to 3 cloves of raw garlic per day when used as a health supplement. The garlic can be minced and can be added to pre-cooked dishes or eaten alone.
