I've been having cramp like pain right under by belly button. The cramp progresses in a line towards my vagina and feels like a terribly sharp pull. My periods have also been lasting a day or 2 since the past couple of months. I had spoken to my friends about visiting a gynaecologist, both of whom have visited one but they advised me against it saying that they were both told that they won't be evaluated before marriage. What should I do? What could it be? Are these clearly a symptom of a disease.

Not really as week before period you will not have any fluid discharge and also abdominal cramp might be due to menstrual cycles however this abdominal cramp is quite common in pregnancy women.
