My mother is having Chemotherapy for multiple myeloma. But recently she got bitten by insect on her eyes which is causing extreme burning sensation and extreme pain and is getting spread. She is now unable to open her one eye and right now she is saying that her teeth also started paining. I will try to attach pics if possible. But please let me know if any home remedy is there or any cream/paste that to be applied as we are afraid to give any medication while chemotherapy is going on. Please suggest what to do?

Please show her to the medical oncologist who is giving the chemotherapy and also an ophthalmologist. If on chemotherapy then the white cell counts are low due to bone marrow suppression. In such a situation even a minor infection can spread to form major cellulitis. Around the eye, it can cause orbital cellulitis which can cause loss of the eye in rare circumstances. We usually recommend antibiotics, anti inflammatory, ice application and antihistaminics in such a situation, but not before examining her. If you want to discuss this further, feel free to contact me directly. But please see a doctor immediately. Take her to the casualty of the hospital where she is taking the chemotherapy.
