Hi. I have under gone c3r on my right eye on 4 years back. Eye vision got stable since 4 years, I have observed since a year getting more pain and headache when started working in night shifts. Am working in IT and used to be sit and work in front of the system during the night shifts. Am using the eye drops to feel some better. But it's not helping me to recover. If I stop working in night shifts for couple of months, feel relaxed and couldn't get any pain or stress or headache. So as I observed, eye vision also got started increasing on regular check-ups with doctor in last one year. So, is working in night shifts impacting my eye vision slightly (increased)? If I stop working in night shifts completely, it will help me to recover and control my eye vision increases at least from now onwards? And, can you help me what are the precautions, have to follow to stable my eye vision power at least from now on. Thank you so much in advance!

You have underwent C3R that means you have Ectrasia or susceptible keratoconus. This is usually progerrive and fortunately we have many remedial measures in our hands now a days, but if you are beniffiting by avoid night duty and regular eye lubricant then it is the easiest treatment. Avoid night duty, minimise exposure to compeuter monitors, keep using lubricant, donot rub your eyes, take adequate sleep, take Vit C ,Ca, and antioxidants. Good luck.

C3R is a keratoconus treatment. Keratoconus is a fairly rare condition of the eye where the cornea becomes stretched and begins to form something of a bulge or cone shape where it should usually be round. One should understand it is not a curative treatment and one would need to continue using glasses. Your schedule is unlikely to have a bearing on it but if you feel so you should go for a day job.
