Hi, my mother's leg was swelling and it didn't decrease so we consulted doctor and he suggested for ultrasound and we found that her right kidney has decreased in size and diagnosed with mild renal parenchymal disease. Report says it mild but doctor said that it is not working. And her protein is 52 and AC ratio is 102. And she is blood pressure patient too and calcium deficiency as well for which shelcal is given. Now doctor has suggested Nodosis 500 mg and Envol 2.5 Mg for bp. Kindly suggest.

Dear lybrate-user USG shows to have kidney having mild parenchymal disease and small size. Serum creatinine levels not given and treating doctor opinion is kidney failure completely. So you wish to know extent of failure. I would suggest that it's one thing is clear that kidney is failing and rise of serum creatinine in near future will also make you realise it's total. So better start to accept the diagnosis so that appropriate directed therapy is not delayed She may require hemodialysis in few months so get AV fistula operations done which your doctor may suggest. Hopefully your questions is answered.
