Dear Dr. I am facing a problem of lactation for 3 days although I am not pregnant Is this a serious problem I have been taking antidepressant for 9 months and recently took norethisterone. Please help.

This problem is known as galactorrhoea Usually side effect of antidepressants as it increases serum prolactin levels Do not worry it will resolve once you stop your medicines.

Some antidepressants do cause galactorrhoea (breast milk discharge). You need to get your serum prolactin levels checked .it's a blood test done in fasting. There are medications to cure it.
