I am a long distance runner. I have got skin infection of 2 cm on my left foot near ankle. Usually its dried and sometimes it itches badly. As per the doctor he said it won't go and it will take its own time. To get rid of itching he has given fourderm ointment. After its application on the infected part it feels its healing but its back to some after few days. Kindly suggest the best treatment for this and state reason for ita occurrence so that I can avoid iy in future.

The skin infection can be due to moist condition of your skin. Try to keep your skin dry before. Wearing socks you can use talcum powder. Always use cotton socks and avoid sweat.
