Hello. First of all I will tell you it's not an emergency second Ayurveda treatment kshasutra is not good for pilonidal sinus. It's done for perianal fistula. I would recommend take antibiotics for a week. Keep the area clean and free of hair. And you can do a sinogram or an MRI of the area before progressing for a surgery as without proper evaluation recurance rate is high. Regards.

Waiting and delaying will spread it further so you should go for surgery as soon as possible, but no emergency! There are lots of surgical procedures available for pilonidal sinus Ksharsutra is one of them and after doing and experiencing all types surgeries. I am in favor of Ksharsutra for my patients as it has negligible recurrence and cosmetically better results. Also note Ksharsutra can be successfully used in many other diseases also.
