Why anal fissure easily recur if one get it once even after LIS surgery my fissures is coming. So it has no lifetime cure because I am a diseased person. Throughout the year I suffer many problem and I have to take many medicines especially antibiotics and by taking any antibiotics my stool becomes hard though Probiotics are also taken. But without antibiotics my fever do not cure and it comes thrice per year and for small change digestive problem. So if fissure will be cured for lifetime period then I can live without fear.

If surgery has been carefully done then it should not recur, but if you are feeling pain repeatedly then you should operate by some expert hands. There are some Ayurvedic medications which I use for my patients who can't operate due to some major diseases and spasm is not so severe, Fissure gets completely healed and no recurrence.

By LIS surgery tight sphincter muscle is loosen. And resting pressure is reduced So why still anal fissure come back again if anyhow stool becomes hard. But some men go toilet after interval of two days so generally their stool will be hard but they do not suffer anal fissure. So my question is it is due to weakness of skin around anus because everybody suffered hard stool at one time in their lifetime but everybody do not develop anal fissures? It has no life -time cure?

M.S.(Shalya)

Anal Fissure is marked by spasm or tightness of internal sphincter muscle, due to which Anal canal is contracted and so that stool in any form be it soft or hard causes severe pain. In LIS Muscle fibres are cut leaving some behind. So remaining muscle is preserved to have normal pressure and control. After surgery hard stool can cause bruise or crack at Anal border because skin in that area is not tough (rightly pointed by you), so trauma can cause Pain but it's not so severe as it should when spasm is there. Therefore disease is different from normal physiology. Also a point to note that surgeons can decide the extent to which sphincter is cut, so as it cannot recur.

I have a pilonidal sinus for more than a week. Should I remove it soon or its good to take time?

M.S.(Shalya)
Proctologist, Akola
Waiting and delaying will spread it further so you should go for surgery as soon as possible, but no emergency! There are lots of surgical procedures available for pilonidal sinus Ksharsutra is one of them and after doing and experiencing all types surgeries. I am in favor of Ksharsutra for my patients as it has negligible recurrence and cosmetically better results. Also note Ksharsutra can be successfully used in many other diseases also.

Don't ignore Fissure as lead to serious complications, so consult a expert for permanent solution. You can't avoid the disease but you can cure it. No such solution is used for this, so have proper medication.

From last 22 days I am having pain in anus area, I consulted a gp and he prescribed me some antibiotics and an ointment with slitz bath. No improvement and then I consulted a general surgeon he did proctoscopy and diagnosed me with anal fissure. Can it be treated with medicine. Pain is very severe. Hard stool followed by soft stool. I am also taking high fiber diet.

There are two types of Fissure in ano. First is Acute Fissure and second is chronic one. Acute Fissure is relatively very new and can be cured completely by medicines. But chronic Fissure heals and occurs repeatedly, and they are rarely cured by medicines alone, they need surgery. You can send me the details so as to advice accordingly.

If medications are not curing Fissure then surgery is the last option. Surgery by experts hand can solve the problem permanently.

Different between fistula & fissure. Doctor in my anus area left side access phoda like is there what it is.

M.S.(Shalya)
Proctologist, Akola
Fistula in ano presents with boil (like pimples as you described) with discharging pus intermittently. Generally it appears after abscess formation and its generally outside and around anus. Fissure is having severe burning pain and at the edge of anus. Both these diseases are very different from each other and requires different type of treatment approach. I think this will clear you, contact me if required.

There are two types of Fissure in ano, Acute Fissure and chronic Fissure, both of them can be treated with medication if Anal spasm is not severe. But if spam or Anal tightness is very severe it requires surgery. Please provide more details to help you accordingly.

Dear sir, Am suffering from fistula past from 2 years but I can't go for any operation right know, at least I need 6 months time for that. Please suggest some home remedies to keep it in control.

M.S.(Shalya)
Proctologist, Akola
No medication can cure Fistula in ano but to avoid it's spreading you can do some things at home. First keep the are clean by shaving and having dettol water hot Sitz bath. Use cotton underwear and other clothes so as sweating will be less. Some times go to local physician if swelling and pain increases. Or consult a proctologist for evaluation.
