I have severe dandruff problem I am using medicated shampoo by grip hair as prescribed by doctor for a year now I've also used other medicated shampoos and nadoxin gel but it doesn't work. I have an oily scalp please help.

Hi, lybrate-user dandruff may be of many type it could b sebhorhic dermatitis it could b psoriotic or eczematous so first need to know the cause this may lead to hairfall also. Need to see your scalp first to diagnose now in general what you can do it do not oil your hairs it increases dandruff otherwise you can show scalp to me by pic or live talk and I think it should get clear in 5-6 days only.

Dandruff can be treated with lotions and shampoo (not commercial ones). Some people do have more oily scalp which cause visible flakes which we call dandruff. There are some other conditions also which can present like flaking of the scalp and have to be ruled out. Do not apply oil on scalp as it will increase the problem.
