Hi doctors. I'd like to know some practical methods to ward off negative thoughts and irritability. Now I'm aware of my clinical anxiety but I also realize these things aren't really black and white and it's too complex to explain. There's a host of other symptoms involved as well that has noticeably changed my personality. I'm irritable most of the time especially when I'm hungry, and end up disliking people in general. Even eating sounds bother me. And the worst part is it lingers. I've tried meditation but I'm very impatient and irregular so it doesn't work. I end up giving rude/blunt comebacks that end up hurting people's feelings but they feel like they don't match my level of thinking or intellect which seriously pisses me off. Please advise. Only thing that doesn't make me angry are animals. My dog helps me calm down a lot but she can't be with me everywhere sadly. Thank you.
