hello lybrate User, brandy may give temporary relief from cough, but it's not cure for it. child's immunity is needed to improve for long lasting relief. take homeopathic treatment for frequent cold and cough in 5 yr old kid. it's very safe, natural and highly efficient treatment in pediatric cases. natural homeopathic medicine is selected on the basis of thorough details of patient, like medical history, causes, routine, temperament etc..; such well selected medicine gives complete cure and improve the immunity to stop frequent infection, without any side effects. Don't give her brandy. It won't help you. The recurrency of the disease needs to be broken, which is possible only by constitutional homeopathic medicines. For this, we need to record all your physical as well as psychological symptoms, so that proper treatment is to be started then. So do book an online appointment for detailed case to be taken and treatment to be started as soon as possible. Till then give her steam inhalation, tell her to drink plenty of water, keep herself warm.
