Hi. I am a medical student. Needless to say some days I have to stand whole day in wards while others I am pulling an all nighters. Over the past 6 years I have struggled with obesity. I weight 90 kg presently. I have to lose weight now. I am a vegetarian and allergic to eggs. Please guide.

Keep a ready stocks of fruits, raw veggies and nuts with you. Before having your main meals, just have a large serving of these. This will make you 50% full. Subsequently take your regular meals with 70% cooked vegetables and 30% cooked carbs like rice or wheat based foods. Reduce SOS (Sugar, Oil & Salt) based foods. Our body does not need them as we can easily get them from natural foods. Also reducing milk products help a lot with weight loss.
