lybrate-userji, Thanks for the query. Please understand hypothyroidism if well controlled is a very simple disease. What is needed is to take adequate dose of levothyroxine and keep TSH level around 3 to 4 mU/L. At that level all the symptoms are in check. For getting conception it is essential to maintain a much lower level of <2 mU/L before conception and during pregnancy also TSH has to be maintained: 1st Trimester. 1 to 2.5 mU/L, 2nd Trimester: 0.2 to 3.0 mU/L & 3rd Trimester: 0.3 to 3.0 mU/L. Maintaining TSH at these levels is critical for proper development of fetus (baby in the uterus) and expected healthy outcome of pregnancy. If you have any doubts please do come back.
