So as you lose weight, your metabolism declines, causing you to burn fewer calories than you did at your heavier weight. Your slower metabolism will slow your weight loss, even if you eat the same number of calories that helped you lose weight. When the calories you burn equal the calories you eat, you reach a plateau. If you've been stuck in a plateau for weeks, it usually indicates that calorie input (what you're eating) is equal to calorie output (what you're burning through physical activity). The only way to break through a weight-loss plateau is to cut calorie intake further and/or burn more calories through exercise. Walking is a physical activity. My suggestion is to incorporate exercise in your daily routine.
