I am 22 years old, is it safe to use birth control pills regularly to avoid pregnancy? Despite using protection I do take a contraception is that okay? What step should be taken to avoid pregnancy in combination to protection?

Using a regular oral contraceptive pill is safe ,it will protect you from unwanted pregnancy and the after effects of terminating an unwanted pregnancy. You can use any low dose ocp like Yasmin .while taking ocp's you do not need another protection.
